My Geographic Love Affair

It's warmed up here.  It was bitterly cold at the beginning of the week - there was ice on my balcony and snow in the hills.  But today - today reminds me of why I moved to California.  It's not perfect, beautiful weather but it's pleasantly mild and it's raining a little.  I don't mind the rain.  We need it for the flowers and grass, as my papa used to say.  There is something about the drip, drip sound I love.  And, more importantly it's the middle of December.  That's right - pleasantly mild in December.  A girl could not ask for more.

It was raining, the sun was breaking through and a gorgeous rainbow broke out over my courtyard.   Not a bad shot for my iPhone!
